This past week has been full of worship, fellowship and classes on Spiritual Warfare and Transition/Grief. This training we are in is so amazing. I can't even imagine going on the field without it. What is funny is that a few weeks ago I was wondering what we could possibly be doing here for 9 weeks! It is so awesome to be here with others who are going through all the same things we are. We have met people who are leaving grandbabies they just met, parents suffering from cancer, and family members who are unbelievers. We spent an afternoon just talking about how hard it is to leave the ones we love...but knowing the call is so strong. We are called to Him...not to a place.
Randy and I went on a three mile walk this afternoon. Kb went to quilting class with her friend, Alyssa...who is going to teach True Love Waits in Uganda...and Luke went to a local church for Trunk or Treating....and then to a birthday party. We have found that any celebration with something sweet served is well attended since there are very few desserts served here!
Tomorrow, 1 November, Randy is taking an ESL class and I am taking Luke to Kohl's for new shoes. I also have found out where Walmart, Target, Chick-fil-a and Lifeway are!!! We have made some very good friends, and they are generous too. It is harder than I thought to be here without a vehicle. The Kizziah's have let us use their Explorer.
Please pray for our family as we will retain all that we are trying to learn. It is a very full day with lots of information to remember. We love and miss you all!!
