Zambia ... the second time around
We got to help out with the 4040 Bush Safari Training for new personnel with our company! This was a great experience. We drove to Zambia this time. Saw some really wonderful animals and had a great family time along the way. We stayed in Livingstone and saw the Falls from the Zambia side...(I prefer the Zimbabwe side way better). I (Kim) helped with the meals, Randy helped with logistics, Kelland and Luke were preschool teachers...here are a few pictures of our fabulous time there. The Lord really showed us so much. We learned a lot.
Elephant!

This is looking back at the Botswana side as we cross the river on a ferry to get to Zambia. We stayed in Livingstone in a Backpackers place called Fawlty Towers.
Just going with the flow...literally
All of us but Randy had to get out of the truck...Randy is paying all our fees that we didn't know we were gonna have to pay!
The swollen Zambezi River...sites along the way...
We made it to the Zambian side...safe and sound...Kb, Luke and I walked off and we are waiting for Randy to bring the truck...this was the hardest and most stressful border crossing since we have been in Africa.
Randy and Mat Lawrence...Randy helped Mat out.
Good friends forever...Zach Rodgers, Justin Rodgers, Luke and Kelland
Luke, Zach and Justin playing soccer with the local children on the seminary campus where the classes were held for 4040 in Lusaka.
Kb was the preschool teacher at 4040...Luke helped out when he wasn't sick with bronchitis or falling out of a tree...
We got to meet up with a dear friend of ours...David Kizziah...who just happened to be in Lusaka with his team...
Here are Caleb and Logan...Kb and Luke were their teachers during 4040
Luke and Kb helped with the children during 4040. They went on lots of cool field trips...here they went into the market and got cokes and fatcakes.
A view of the market in Petauke at bush camp. I went in everyday to look for eggs, bread, milk, meat, veggies, fruit...and anything else we might need to feed 60 people!
Kb with her girls...Hannah, Olivia, Kylie, Karis
This is the house we stayed in while we were in Lusaka.
It has been a year since we did our homestay for 4040...the Pirri family has a new member!! It was great fun to surprise them with a short visit. They have made improvements to their home. And Patience hurried to the Tuck Shop to get us cold drinks...Fanta Orange!!
This is Chikondi.
Randy and Jazen.
We got to visit with the family we stayed with the first time we were in Zambia during our 4040 homestay. This is me and Patience with a new baby boy.
Our beautiful kitchen staff...Esnert, Mwaka, Matilda, Enuas
This is our cook, Ethan (l) and Benson, who washed all the dishes. Great guys!
Our bush camp kitchen. We cooked over an open fire usually. But we also had a propane powered stove, propane refrigerator and an oven we heated with coals from the fire.
A woman and her three children. She came to do laundry for the participants.
While we worshiped inside...the children were outside having their Bible study...they also enjoyed singing very loudly!
Kb and a new friend at Bush Church.
This is the bridge over to Zimbabwe. You can ride a zipline or bungee from this.
A family of baboons blocked our path down to the Boiling Point.
